Where am I today

I'm too sexy for myself. So sexy it hurts. Alexander wants everyone to know that he has a stuffy nose today. Here"s Alexander on our new deck; well not so new really.  It only took about a year to complete.  You soon realize that people are on a different timeframe when it comes to estimating when a job will be complete..but that's a story for another time. Alexander and I went swimming yesterday at the YMCA  in Ellsworth about 45min. drive. In Medford we used to brag about how everything was about 5miles away "Boston, Arlington,Wakefield" now every thing is about 30 to 45min without the traffic or the people, Ha Ha.

Today is July 18........... seven months post hip surgery!!!!  Widy's sister Rose is up for a few days visiting and they took Alexander to a water slide park in Bar Harbor to cool off today.   J worked in the café and is waiting for their return.  Because tonite is Thursday we head over to Prospect Harbor for dinner and to listen to live Jazz for a couple of hours.    We'll  post a picture of Alexander playing the drums on stage.   Dad and Alexander went to Northeast Harbor last night to dance to a steel drum band:   Flash in the Pans.   I know it doesn't sound right that there would be a most wonderful and talented steel drum band in Downeast Maine but they are here playing every week, somewhere in the area, for the Summer.  Here are some pics of Alexander 'doing his stuff'.

Dear Friends,  this posting will be short and sweet as we're still in the 'process' of settling;  i.e. unpacking!   We're comfortable however in our new digs and we've started a pseudo routine:  as much as one can do when there is no timeframe.  Alexander is doing wonderfully so far.   He sleeps until he gets up, does a bit of Sesame Street, eats a good breakfast and plans the rest of the day to help Dad in the garden, Mum in the café or visiting one of his many neighbor friends on his scooter or bike.  None of us really remembers the time or the day and especially not the date!  I imagine all that will come very soon and to some extent the café does run on a timeframe  9a.m. to 3ish ;-) four days per week.   Know all is well and we'll try to get into some sort of routine with the blog so, if you are interested, you can check in.  CULata
